Metaphysical Realities of Life

August 31, 2018

Living a metaphysical life is the practice of aligning your thoughts, energy, and awareness with the deeper nature of reality—where mind, spirit, and experience are interconnected and consciously directed to achieve your soul purpose.

If you’ve ever wondered about the meaning of life, fear not, as you are not alone. I’ve always been the curious sort, and as a writer, researching for my upcoming books has given me the perfect opportunity to learn as much as possible. Before, when studying scientific theories, religious beliefs, and other plausible explanations to this question, nothing really resonated with me until I started my research for my current series about the metaphysical, spiritual side of our reality.

All things are made up of energy. This is a scientific fact. Energy cannot be destroyed. It may be transformed into another visible or invisible form, but it never disappears. It’s also a fact that more energy is created, whether structured or chaotic, by everything and everyone daily. This applies to our thoughts and emotions, as well as the energy created by physical action. It is this chaos and structure that fascinates me the most.

We, as human beings, tend to create the chaos surrounding us. The question is: how can we eliminate the stress this causes, or at least lessen the effects of what has been created, and tap into a calm and peaceful existence? There is no doubt in my mind that our universe contains everything we need to have the serenity we all need and deserve. The plants that surround us, gems and stones we wear and use, herbs and foods we consume, and our spiritual connection to the universe, all affect us in one way or another. Through my study of the metaphysical and spiritual aspects of life, I will be sharing with you what I’ve found in future blogs.

Stones and gems come from the foundation of our world. Some are in remote areas, found by only the adventurous, while others are literally in our backyards. The most precious of these, known as gems such as Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds, are sold at exorbitant prices, inaccessible to the majority of us. Semi-precious gems and stones, like Agates, Amethyst, Jade, Quartz, and Opals, can be a more feasible option. Each stone has a distinct vibration or energy signature, and when combined with ours, these vibrations can change our physical and emotional well-being. In my research, I hadn't come across the study of the energetic properties of stones until I walked into a metaphysical store, which I now frequent, and was immediately enveloped in a warm, peaceful, comforting feeling of acceptance and inclusion. Not only did the shop owner's friendly greeting welcome me in, but it seemed as if all the precious stones called out to me to see and touch the beauty and wonderful qualities they held. There was more to it than just my awe of their exquisiteness. I could actually feel the energy emanating from each one as I held them in my hands. That’s when I realized I needed to find out all I could about how and when to use these stones.

Do you live or work in a toxic environment? Have you ever felt as if the problems of this world are weighing you down, making you feel as if you’ve been dragged into its negativity? I’ve been there. In both situations, it didn’t feel good at all. That’s when I started doing research to find ways to combat the effects of the people around me and the world we live in. There are quite a few things you can do if you are feeling burdened, trapped in the mire with everyone else, or even daily, to ward off anything coming your way. There are so many things going on globally, locally, and even in our own households that contribute to our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. It would take a lifetime to describe them all. If you live in this world, you already have an idea of the kinds of things to which I am referring. Things affect people in different ways. So, what may become toxic to me could very well be different for you. One of the most prominent causes of toxicity is the people around us. If possible, change the relationship, or walk away from those who do not support, love, or encourage you at all times.
